CHINESE NEW YEAR:
Spent at M on the Bund, 7th floor No 5. (The Bund is a street lined with original buildings of the 1920s in the style of French and European. It is the place to go.)
There is M on the cutlery, M on the plates.
The whole place is M.
M is my favourite place to go.
We saw fireworks from the windows, whilst eating our Australian sirloin steak (Rump was off the menu) with spinach and mashed potatoes, sipping our Brown Brothers wine - me a cocktail.
At midnight we went to 6th floor to watch the array of splendor from the little French looking balcony, at M The Glamour Bar.
Fireworks going off above us,all over and beyond.
What a celebration.
Shortly after, there were taxis waiting all lined up we jumped in one.
Fireworks and happiness all the way home.
Our street, fireworks everywhere.
At the Flower Garden - view to watch.
Home, a cook - boy - watching as it started all over again.
Chatted to Natasha from her outing.
At ten to two am, sounding like faraway and close bombs in the night.
Guards gathered all together to get their explosives underway.
Apparently the same happens all over tomorrow.
It is now officially Year of The Pig.
Go Pigs!!

You would like that M place, of course. Cracks me up that you get to be invovled in these wild celebrations so funny, and now its the year old the pig oink oink.
And spinach is good isn't it? Who'd have thought!!
But really could you ever beat the old aussie tradtion of new years out at reids farm - when all the people did talent quest style acts - and various peculiar spiritual songs were sung, the fun.
And you know what was completely a surprise? Sime had simply decided to take me to the Bund that night, we both didnt even realise it was new year, on that day, but by the sound of all the crackers, realised, so it was a wonderful surprise. We were literally sitting in the resturant looking out these beautiful french style windows, at green and pink fireworks in the background, it was like a fairytale.
To be at Tat, and enjoy Tat celebrations, I hope to do this oneday. You guys are the BEST ever!!
oh my goodness i have flashbacks of those new years eve things somedays. And the ones on family camps too.
